So far, no anwers have been found and it seems that solving this mystery will take a lot of time. We take a look at some other mysteries that haven't been solved yet. Subhas Chandra Bose's death: Contrary to official version that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was killed in an air crash in 1945, many believed that he was in the Soviet Russia after that. In 1991, some evidences were found which indicated that records about Bose were available in the security and intelligence related archives in Russia.Lal Bahadur Shastri's death: Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second Prime Minister of India, died under mysterious circumstances immediately after signing the Tashkent Pact with Pakistan. Many have claimed that he died of heart attack but some say that he was poisoned. Beale Ciphers: A set of three ciphertexts, Beale Ciphers supposedly reveal the location of one of the grandest buried treasures in U.S. history. The treasure was originally obtained by a mysterious man named Thomas Jefferson Beale in 1818. Of the three ciphertexts, only the second one has been cracked. Bermuda Triangle: Many planes have dissapeared in thin air while flying over Bermuda Triangle, a large part of ocean in the North Atlantic. A number of explanations have been suggested over the years, including time warps, extreme weather and event alien abductions. However, no conclusion has been derived yet. Georgia Guidestones: Erected in Elbert County in 1979, Georgia Guidestones feature 10 "new commandments" written in English, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, China, Russia, and Spanish although no one is sure why or for whom they were meant.Black Dahlia: Aspiring American actress Elizabeth Short was found murdered in a vacant lot in Hollywood, California. Her corpse was naked and severed in two. Short became known as the Black Dahlia. The murder still remains unsolved.Jack the Ripper: He was an unidentified serial killer who murdered 11 women in London's east end in the late 1800s. All his victims were prostitutes, whose bodies were mutilated beyond recognition and their throats slashed.Jimmy Hoffa's disappearance: The American labor union leader went missing in 1975 without a trace. Some believe that he was killed and buried in New Jersey while others say he is still alive and in hiding. Kryptos: A statue outside the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, has coded encryptions on its surface. Jim Sanborn created the scuplture to show that everything can be resolved and decoded with the use of patterns and clues. Of the four inscription sections on the statue, three have been cracked. But the fourth inscription is yet to be deciphered. Phaistos Disc: Discovered by Italian archaeologist Luigi Pernier in 1908 in the Minoan palace-site of Phaistos, Phaistos Disc is made of fired clay and contains mysterious symbols. However, the symbols are yet to be decoded. Rongorongo: Rongorongo is a set of glyphs which were discovered in the mysterious Easter Islands. These glyphs have never been deciphered although they may contain clues concerning the huge heads found scattered around the island.Shroud of Turin: The Shroud of Turin, which bears the image of a crucified man, is allegedly the burial shroud of Jesus Christ. Despite many scientific investigations, no explenation excists on how the image could have been imprented on the cloth.Shepherd's Monument: An inscription on Shepherd's Monument in England has remained a mystery for over 250 years now. Many intellectuals have attempted to decode an inscription reading DOUOSVAVVM, but none of them has succeeded. Tamam Shud: In December 1948, an unidentified man was found dead in Somerton Beach, Australia. a piece of paper with the words "Tamam Shud" written on it was found in one of his pockets. The words were translated "finished" or "ended" based on excerpts found in The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. The governments around the world have tried to identify the man but have not succeeded yet. Tarim mummies: 29 Tarim mummies were discovered in the Tarim Basin in present-day Xinjiang, China. They are believed to date from 1800 BCE to 200 CE. Various studies of the mummies have presented conflicting theories. Some scientists believe they have the characteristics of western Eurasia. Others believe they are exclusively Caucasoid, or Europoid. Crystal Skulls: The mysterious crystal skulls have drawn the attention of many. A total of 13 skulls have been found in South America since 1881. However, their true origin is unknown so far. Taos Hum: A low-pitched sound similar to that of humming of a refrigerator has been heard in various parts of the world. History says that the sound has driven many people mad. The mysterious sound is undetectable by microphones or any other electronic equipment, making it extremely hard to find the source. The sound is most famous for its occurrence in Taos, New Mexico. Wow! Signal: In 1977, Jerry R. Ehman picked up a 72-second signal supposedly coming from deep space for the first and last time. Amazed at how closely the signal matched the expected signature of an interstellar signal in the antenna used, Ehman circled the signal on the computer printout and wrote the comment "Wow!" on its side. This comment became the name of the signal. Zodiac Letters: In 1960s and 1970s, a certain criminal identified as the Zodiac killer used to send mind-boggling letters to the police and the press in the San Francisco Bay area. These letters included four cryptograms out of which only one is cracked till date. Voynich Manuscript: Written in the Middle Ages, the manuscript includes illustrations of plants and astronimocal information. The book was written in an unknown language using an unknown alphabet system. Attempts have been made to interpret the document for over 100 years, but there hasn't been a single breakthrough yet.
