$ 0 0 Indian handset seller Micromax has quietly launched a new Android smartphone, A96 CanvasPower at a price point of Rs 9,900. The phone is listed on the company's official website.As the name suggests, the USP of the phone is its high capacity 4,000mAh battery. The company claims that the phone will deliver 5.5 hours of talktime and 450 hours of standby time.CanvasPower sports a 5-inch TFT display with a resolution of 480 x 854pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582M quad-core processor and 512MB RAM. The phone sports a 5MP rear camera capable of recording 720p video with LED flash, and a 0.3MP front-facing camera.The MicromaxCanvasPower runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and supports 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 amd GPS connectivity options. It also features an FM radio tuner. The dual-sim (GSM+GSM) phone comes with 4GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.Meanwhile, Micromax has also reduced the price of its recently launched phone, the Canvas Turbo Mini. Launched at Rs 14,490, the handset now retails for Rs 12,990. It's interesting to note that the price cut comes after the launch of Motorola's Moto G which is also part of the same price segment.The dual-sim handset (1 mini-sim and 1 standard sim) supports 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth, and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
